Boston College’s African & African Diaspora Studies Program offers a dissertation fellowship competition for scholars in the humanities or social sciences working on Africa and/or African Diaspora topics. The fellowship provides a stipend, health insurance, a research budget, and office space, with in-residence requirements for the academic year and obligations to deliver a public lecture and teach a seminar. Applicants must be near completion of their PhD, except for the dissertation itself.
