SSRC Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship 2025

The SSRC Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship 2025 provides funding to support up to 12 months of dissertation research costs, up to US$15,000, on topics related to peacebuilding, security, and development. The fellowship is aimed at helping fellows complete their doctoral degrees and to advance next generation social science research in Africa. Fellows receive mentorship, participate in workshops, and become part of a professional network of African scholars and practitioners.

Citizens of any African country who are enrolled toward a PhD and have a fully developed dissertation research proposal approved by a graduate school at an accredited university in Africa.
