Jugenddemokratiepreis 2026

The Jugenddemokratiepreis is an award and competition recognising youth engagement for democracy. It honours projects led by young people that strengthen democratic participation, social cohesion and an open society. Prizes include monetary awards (up to €3,000) and winners are invited to participate in the Jugendengagementkongress and attend an award ceremony in Berlin.

Monetary prizes up to €3,000; invitation to participate in the Jugendengagementkongress (20–24 May 2026); attendance at the award ceremony (expected 22 May 2026).

Project creators must be between 14 and 27 years old; projects should be from across Germany, non-profit in background, led and developed by young people and already in the implementation process (completed projects must not be older than one year).
