2029
Informations
The Trilateral Research Conferences "Villa Vigoni" is a competitive funding programme supporting a series of three annual research meetings (all held at Villa Vigoni) for groups of researchers from Germany, France and Italy in the humanities and social sciences. Each conference series brings together a stable group of researchers (typically 12–16 people) for collaborative work over three yearly meetings; a reduced format for early-career postdocs allows two meetings and smaller groups. The programme is organised jointly by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH) and Villa Vigoni.
Avantages
Funding for the organisation and running of the meetings, accommodation at Villa Vigoni for participants, and reimbursement of travel costs.
Conditions d'éligibilité
Applications are submitted by a coordinating trio of researchers (one each from Germany, France and Italy) who must demonstrate institutional affiliation for the duration of the conferences. Applications from all fields of the humanities and social sciences are welcome. Participation of early-career researchers (postdocs up to six years after PhD) is explicitly encouraged, and a postdoc-specific reduced-format option exists.
Candidature
Use the application form on the Villa Vigoni website and submit the digital application to Villa Vigoni (which forwards copies to DFG and FMSH). Applications must include thematic outline, goals, methodology, programme and participant list; summaries must be provided in German, French and Italian.
