Intensive courses for providers of Lithuanian-language education abroad (2024)

A set of intensive, 15-calendar-day courses organised in 2024 for teachers and instructors who deliver Lithuanian-language education abroad. The courses aim to deepen Lithuanian language skills, improve didactics and educational psychology competencies, and provide additional knowledge about Lithuanian culture and history. Four Lithuanian higher education and research institutions will run separate course sessions in summer 2024.

EUR 412.50 stipend for in-person participants; course fee paid; 15-calendar-day intensive training in language, didactics, educational psychology and Lithuanian culture/history.

Teachers or lecturers working in Lithuanian-language education institutions abroad (serving pre-school or school-age children and/or adults) who have Lithuanian language competence at least at B1 level. Support may be granted to foreign country citizens (except Russian and Belarusian citizens) and to foreign Lithuanians.

Applicants submit an application via the organising higher education institution's system (only to one institution). Required documents include proof of employment in a Lithuanian-language education institution abroad, one recommendation, and documents proving Lithuanian origin or residency history where applicable.
