Prijs Paul De Backer voor radiologie, radiodiagnose, radio- of radiumtherapie, radiobiologie of klinische toepassingen van de kernenergie

The Prijs Paul De Backer is a scientific prize awarded for a dissertation or a collection of publications on topics in radiology, radiodiagnosis, radio- or radium therapy, radiobiology (biological effects of ionising radiation) or clinical applications of nuclear energy. The work may be written in Dutch, French or English and may be a thesis. The prize is intended for an individual researcher or two cooperating researchers and gives preference to young researchers who continue their scientific work personally.

Monetary prize of 2.500 euro.

An individual researcher or two collaborating researchers may apply; preference is given to young researchers. Candidates must not have applied for a prize from the Academy in the previous twelve months, must not be laureates of a category 1, 2 or 3 prize of the Academy, and must not be members of a Royal Academy of Belgium.
