CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Research Program 2025

CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars join a CIFAR Research Program for two years, participating as equals within a small international network of leading researchers, and collaborating across disciplines to pursue a fundamental research question. The program aims to foster interdisciplinary research excellence and includes mentorship, leadership training, and opportunities to develop new collaborations. Scholars receive substantial research support and opportunities to apply for seed funding, with travel to CIFAR meetings covered by CIFAR.

Two-year term of interdisciplinary collaboration and mentorship, $100,000 CAD in unrestricted research support, potential seed funding, network membership with CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars, leadership training, and opportunities to travel to CIFAR meetings.

Hold a PhD (or equivalent) and be employed in a full-time position at an institution of higher education or research with responsibilities including leading independent research and supervising/teaching trainees.

Applications are submitted online through the CIFAR Global Scholars portal; the program accepts applications annually.
