State of the Map 2026 Travel Grant Programme

A travel grant programme to support attendance at the State of the Map 2026 conference in Paris (with online participation options). It provides selected applicants with a full conference ticket and a lump-sum contribution towards travel, accommodation and other expenses. Two grant categories are offered with different sizes depending on applicants' country of residence. Grants are awarded by a points-based selection process prioritising diversity and OpenStreetMap contribution.

Full conference ticket and a lump-sum contribution towards travel, accommodation and other expenses (e.g., Category B2: free ticket; Category C2: free ticket + £300).

Open to applicants who wish to attend SotM 2026; applicants should apply for the grant size that corresponds to their country of residence. Winners of the in-person Travel Grants for SOTM 2025, 2024 and 2022 are not eligible.

Complete the Travel Grant application form linked on the SotM 2026 site and provide the requested information including the amount required in pounds sterling; selection is by a points-based ranking.
