The Australian Economics Olympiad (AEO) is a competition of activities that refine and test high school students' mastery of economics through problem-solving in policy, business and finance. Participants sit a 2-hour First Round test at their school and top performers enter a Second Round team case study and presentation. Results from both rounds are used to select five national winners. The AEO also aims to improve economics education and provides learning resources recommended for participants.
