Information

The Australian Economics Olympiad (AEO) is a competition of activities that refine and test high school students' mastery of economics through problem-solving in policy, business and finance. Participants sit a 2-hour First Round test at their school and top performers enter a Second Round team case study and presentation. Results from both rounds are used to select five national winners. The AEO also aims to improve economics education and provides learning resources recommended for participants.

Eligibility

Open to high school students in Australia; registrations must be made through school teachers who will organise and invigilate the First Round test.

Application

Schools register students through their teachers, who must organise and invigilate the First Round test; a $25 registration fee applies per student.
