A 10–12-week in-person summer internship at the International Monetary Fund headquarters in Washington DC for PhD students in macroeconomics or related fields. Interns conduct economic research and analysis under the guidance of an IMF economist; work may culminate in a research paper and internal publication. The internship is full-time (40 hours/week) and paid, and includes visa facilitation for non-U.S. citizens needing a G4 visa. Housing is not provided.

Conditions d'éligibilité
Must be a PhD student within one to two years of completing a PhD in macroeconomics or a related field, be in student status during the internship, be below the age of 32 at commencement (exceptions only for mandatory military service), have excellent English and strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills.
