Bolsa de Investigação da Universidade de Coimbra 2026

A research fellowship at the University of Coimbra for work on sustainable energy transition projects, initially for 9 months full time with possible renewal. It is aimed at master's students and early-career researchers to develop applied research in areas such as power electronics, control algorithms, FPGA implementation and graphical interfaces. The fellowship includes a monthly stipend and insurance and is linked to projects funded by Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan and Next Generation EU.

Monthly stipend (€1,040.98); personal accident insurance; possible social contributions; international recognition through a project funded by national and EU recovery instruments.

Open to master's students and young researchers of any nationality, including stateless persons and non-EU applicants; prior knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, Xilinx FPGA and power electronics is considered a plus.

Candidates are evaluated 60% on academic record and 40% on interview.
