The GSMA Innovation Fund for Impactful AI

The GSMA Innovation Fund for Impactful AI provides grant funding and venture building support to small and growing enterprises that leverage AI and other emerging technologies, in conjunction with mobile technology, to have a positive impact in LMICs. The fund aims to support solutions that demonstrate transformative AI-based benefits for socio-economic development and climate action, with a sector-agnostic focus but priority given to AI-driven, scalable applications across health, agriculture, fintech, education, and related areas.

Tailored technical assistance and venture building support, connections with investors, participation in bootcamps, and increased visibility in GSMA publications and events.

Applicants must be for-profit private sector small and growing enterprises in a low- or middle-income country, with active users and commercial revenue in at least one eligible country, registered in their project country, and able to deliver outputs through the majority of outputs by the applicant organization.

Stage 1: Application window January–May 2025, with a deadline of 19 March 2025; forms and eligibility checks due by 12 March 2025. Stage 2–7 cover evaluation, pitching, site visits, and contracting leading to implementation.
