2026 Italy-AOSIS Fellowship

The 2026 Italy-AOSIS Fellowship is a yearlong programme for young professionals from Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) countries to gain hands-on training and experience on issues of law, policy, science, climate change, and sustainable development. Fellows work at their UN Permanent Mission in New York, receive extensive training, and participate in international conferences. The programme aims to build capacity in AOSIS member governments to engage in international processes and negotiations.

Roundtrip economy airfare to New York; fixed settling-in allowance; laptop and cellphone; monthly stipend; travel budget for international meetings.

Candidates must be nationals of an AOSIS country, aged 25 to 32 at the start, hold a degree in a relevant field, have 1–3 years of experience (maximum 5), commit to work in their national government after the fellowship, demonstrate discretion and solid writing skills, and be proficient in English.
