Applications are open for the IMF Economist Program 2026, a three-year program consisting of two 18-month assignments designed to develop future leaders in the Fund. Participants will conduct operations-related analysis, research and policy development, with opportunities to work on macroeconomic issues across IMF member countries and receive professional training and mentoring.

Benefici

Access to professional, technical, and language training; mentoring and guidance from experienced economists; exposure to a range of regional and country-specific issues; potential for a career at the IMF.

Requisiti

Top economists from around the world who have recently completed or are expected to complete a PhD within a year of joining the IMF, and who are below age 34 at entry, with strong English skills and nationality of a IMF member country.

Candidatura

Review eligibility and supporting documentation, participate in interviews and assessments, and submit via the IMF Careers portal.
