AAUW Community Action Grants 2026

The AAUW Community Action Grants fund innovative, community-based programs that help K-12 girls build STEM skills, confidence, and identity, with the goal of encouraging pursuit of STEM higher education and careers. Grants support hands-on learning, mentorship from women in STEM, family involvement, and confidence-building experiences, with a focus on reaching historically underrepresented communities. Up to $75,000 is available to support nonprofits and educational institutions dedicated to these efforts.

Funding for program activities (up to $75,000) to support hands-on STEM learning, mentorship, and related activities.

Organizations must be incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or be fiscally sponsored, based in the United States, and have a track record of delivering programs for girls in grades K-12.

Submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) via AAUW’s application portal; invited applicants complete a full application.
