Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships – September 2026

The Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships are competitive postdoctoral research fellowships in Life Sciences for highly motivated scientists wishing to pursue postdoctoral research in a world-class scientific environment. The programme offers a comprehensive package including a stipend, health insurance and additional benefits, with possible eligibility to apply for an Early Career Research Grant after completion. The fellowship is available at ICGEB laboratories in Trieste (Italy), New Delhi (India) and Cape Town (South Africa).

Monthly stipend, health insurance, travel support, accommodation options at host sites, support for research costs and potential eligibility for post-fellowship grants.

Applicants must be nationals of an ICGEB Member State and may not apply to undertake fellowships in their country of origin unless they have been working abroad for at least the last 3 years. Degree requirements: applicants should hold a recent PhD in Life Sciences or have at least 3 years of research experience. Preference is given to candidates below the age of 35.

Submit Fellowship Expression of Interest via the ICGEB Service Gateway between 1 July and 14 August 2026, followed by a full application by 30 September 2026 if selected by the prospective supervisor. Applicants must be endorsed by the country’s National Liaison Officer and complete online guidelines.
