The Ashby Prize in Computational Science Hackathon is a two-day, team-based competition focused on applying AI, machine learning, and multimodal foundation models to cancer-related pathology and clinical data. It brings together University of Illinois students from computing, biomedical, and engineering disciplines to prototype tools that could improve clinical workflows. Teams receive curated datasets, pretrained models, and expert guidance during the event and refine projects for flash presentations and judging. Cash prizes are awarded to top teams.
