Ashby Prize in Computational Science Hackathon (Fall 2026)

The Ashby Prize in Computational Science Hackathon is a two-day, team-based competition focused on applying AI, machine learning, and multimodal foundation models to cancer-related pathology and clinical data. It brings together University of Illinois students from computing, biomedical, and engineering disciplines to prototype tools that could improve clinical workflows. Teams receive curated datasets, pretrained models, and expert guidance during the event and refine projects for flash presentations and judging. Cash prizes are awarded to top teams.

University of Illinois students from computing, biomedical, and engineering disciplines; teams of two to five with at least one member from the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science.
