Funded traineeships for young graduates at the EU Delegation to the Republic of South Africa 2026

The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of South Africa offers funded traineeships for young graduates in 2026. The internship is based in Pretoria and lasts up to 6 months, with a tentative start date in June 2026. Selected trainees receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses, while travel, visa, insurance, and accommodation costs must be borne by the trainee.

Monthly grant to cover living expenses; exposure to EU-South Africa relations; work experience in political, public diplomacy, and research activities.

Applicants currently residing in the Republic of South Africa; must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Law, Social Studies, Politics, Economics or similar; excellent English writing and research skills; right to work in South Africa.
