A four-year Master of Physics (MPhys) degree in astrophysics that includes a year abroad. The fourth year is spent on a research project at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Boston. The course also includes a two-week field trip to Tenerife for a space mission design project and a week at an observatory. It is delivered by the University of Southampton at the Highfield campus.

This flagship course is offered to the best University of Southampton astrophysics students studying the MPhys Physics with Astronomy degree at the end of year 2; standard undergraduate entry requirements (A-levels/IB/BTEC) also apply for admission to the programme.
