Getty Foundation Pre- and Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026-27

The Getty Foundation Pre- and Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026-27 invite emerging researchers to advance significant projects aligned with the annual Getty Scholars Program theme. Fellows reside at the Getty Center or Getty Villa and engage in activities such as research, dissertation development, or preparing work for publication, while benefiting from access to Getty resources and a scholarly community. The program covers multiple grant categories, including predoctoral, postdoctoral, and scholar grants, with stipends and accompanying benefits.

Stipends, access to Getty Research Institute collections and resources, participation in weekly lectures and scholarly activities, housing and healthcare benefits, and research support.

Applications are open to researchers of all nationalities in the arts, social sciences, or humanities; Predoctoral Fellows are PhD candidates, and Postdoctoral Fellows have recently completed their PhD.
