The Hermann-Staudinger-Preis is a biennial prize awarded by the GDCh to scientists who have made outstanding contributions in the field of macromolecular chemistry. The award recognises work that has advanced the fundamentals and applications of polymer and macromolecular science. Recipients receive a monetary prize, a gold medal and a certificate.

The GDCh Fachgruppe Makromolekulare Chemie has the right to propose laureates; recipients are selected by the GDCh.
