Astra Fellowship 2026–2027: Fully Funded AI Safety Fellowship in the USA

The Astra Fellowship is a fully funded, in-person fellowship hosted in Berkeley, California, designed to transition individuals into AI safety, governance, and advanced research careers. It brings together researchers and engineers from around the world to work on frontier AI safety projects, with access to mentors, research funding, and career support over a 3–6 month intensive program.

Stipend covering living expenses, research budget for compute resources, visa sponsorship, weekly mentorship, career coaching, access to a research community, and placement support with opportunities at leading AI organizations.
