Astra AI Safety Fellowship

The Astra Fellowship is a highly competitive, fully funded five-month in-person program hosted in Berkeley, California. It brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds to work on AI safety, with structured mentorship, research support, and hands-on project work. Fellows gain access to leading researchers and opportunities to engage with high-impact AI safety work and networks.

Monthly stipend, access to compute resources, weekly mentorship, research and governance exposure, and opportunity to engage with leading AI safety organizations.

Open to individuals from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds; international applicants are welcome and visa support is available for selected fellows.
