Jean Monnet Chairs

The Jean Monnet Chairs programme funds teaching posts with a specialisation in European Union studies at higher education institutions for three years. The initiative targets university professors and aims to deepen EU studies within official curricula and to deliver in-depth EU-related teaching for future professionals. Activities include lectures, seminars, and workshops, as well as outreach and mentoring activities for students and policymakers.

A lump-sum EU grant up to 60,000 EUR to cover specified costs related to the teaching post in EU studies.

Higher Education Institutions established in EU Member States or country associated to the Programme may apply. Individuals cannot apply directly for a grant.

Applications are submitted by Higher Education Institutions to the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) under the Call ID ERASMUS-JMO-2026-HEI-TCH-RSCH-CHAIR; read the Erasmus+ Programme Guide and contact the National Agency in the country.
