DFG–FAPESP Joint Research Grants and Coordinated Programmes (Standing Open Procedure)

The DFG–FAPESP Joint Research Grants and Coordinated Programmes are bilateral funding opportunities for joint German–São Paulo research projects and coordinated programmes. Proposals may be submitted for individual projects (DFG–FAPESP Research Grants) and for coordinated programmes such as Research Units, International Research Training Groups and Collaborative Research Centres. Funding is awarded following assessment by both the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and follows the general DFG funding lines and budgets.

Funding for joint research projects and coordinated programmes, contingent on positive assessment by both funding organisations.

Joint proposals may be submitted by researchers from Germany in cooperation with partners from the State of São Paulo, Brazil, for individual projects and coordinated programmes.

Submit joint proposals under the Standing Open Procedure following the updated preparation instructions for DFG–FAPESP Research Grants and Coordinated Programmes; proposals are assessed by both DFG and FAPESP.
