The DFG–FAPESP Joint Research Grants and Coordinated Programmes are bilateral funding opportunities for joint German–São Paulo research projects and coordinated programmes. Proposals may be submitted for individual projects (DFG–FAPESP Research Grants) and for coordinated programmes such as Research Units, International Research Training Groups and Collaborative Research Centres. Funding is awarded following assessment by both the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and follows the general DFG funding lines and budgets.
