Yale Conservation Scholars – Early Leadership Initiative 2025

The Yale Conservation Scholars – Early Leadership Initiative (YCS-ELI) is a summer opportunity for undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds who are interested in careers in conservation, the environment, or related fields. Scholars participate in environmental internships primarily in the Northeast U.S., and the program includes workshops and professional development components. It is a component of Yale School of the Environment's Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Sustainability Initiative (JEDSI).

Stipend for internship and pre-program activities, housing/travel support, discretionary fund, professional development workshops, and access to conference opportunities.

Undergraduate students interested in conservation, nature, and the environment who are seeking internships in the environmental field.

Fill out the general application form online, upload transcripts, and arrange three letters of recommendation to be submitted via the application portal.
