United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Africa 2025

The United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Africa is a in-person course organized by the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, in cooperation with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the African Union, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. It consists of seminars led by international law scholars and practitioners, covering topics such as treaty law, state responsibility, international organizations, human rights law, and other areas of international law. The program accommodates up to 30 participants, including a limited number of spaces for self-funded participants, and takes place at the ECA facilities in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 20 February to 14 March 2025 in English.

Travel, accommodation, meals, medical insurance, training materials, and a modest living stipend for fellowship recipients

Open to candidates from UN member states that are members of the African Group; applicants must have a legal background with professional experience in international law and be fluent in English.
