Netherlands Government Scholarship 2026-27

The Netherlands Government Scholarship is a scholarship opportunity for international students who do not belong to the European Economic Area and want to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the Netherlands. It is funded by Dutch universities in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, offering study and research opportunities across multiple fields in Dutch higher education institutions.

Financial support in the form of a scholarship (€5,000 in the first year) and admission to a Dutch university among participating institutions; opportunity to study at prestigious Dutch universities and engage in research projects.

Applicants must not be from the EEA, must obtain admission from a Dutch university, fulfill the university’s requirements, must not already hold a degree from a Dutch university, and must apply for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Applicants must select a Dutch university and apply through that university’s online application form; each department has its own online application form.
