The Master of Arts in African Languages and Cultures is a two-year, full-time master’s programme with a focus on applied African linguistics, language in culture, and Ethiopian and Eritrean studies. It is offered in Hamburg and taught in English, with multiple study profiles and specialisations. Graduates are prepared for careers in research, education and consulting, and can further develop language skills in Swahili, Hausa, Amharic or other African languages.
