University of Oxford Postdoctoral Research Fellowships 2026

The Department of Sociology at the University of Oxford is offering two Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions for early-career researchers in sociology, one with a quantitative focus and one with a qualitative focus. The fellowships are full-time, fixed-term positions available for up to four years, with an expected start in September 2026 and a deadline for applications in July 2026. Fellows will conduct independent research, benefit from mentorship, and contribute to the academic life of the department.

Salary (£49,119–£58,265 per annum; discretionary range up to £65,336) and research support; mentorship and integration into the department’s academic activities.
