FCI4Africa Open Call 2026

FCI4Africa Open Call 2026 offers funding for food system innovation projects in Africa. It targets innovators, researchers, start-ups, and technology-driven organizations to develop and test solutions that improve fairness, resilience, and sustainability across African food value chains. Selected projects receive financial support to test, validate, and scale impactful solutions, with a Horizon Europe backing and a total call budget of €400,000 across eight funded projects.

Access up to €50,000 in project funding; recognition through a Horizon Europe-backed programme; opportunity to validate innovations in real-world environments; potential to build datasets and evidence for future scaling; networking with global experts and innovation partners.

Applications are invited from individual organizations or entities; consortia are not allowed. Eligible applicants include universities, research institutes, technology providers, R&D SMEs, innovation start-ups, industry actors building new technologies, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
