NYC Teaching Fellows 2026

The NYC Teaching Fellows Program 2026 is a selective, fully supported pathway run by NYC Public Schools to become a certified teacher in New York City Public Schools by Fall 2026. The program combines intensive training, ongoing coaching, and full-time teaching in high-need classrooms, with a graduate education component funded in part by the program. Fellows receive a salary during full-time teaching and benefits, and pursue a subsidized master’s degree while earning certification.

Starting salary of $71,314+ per year during placement; summer training stipend; full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, pension, 401(k), commuter benefits, tuition assistance, student loan assistance); ongoing mentorship and professional development; access to a network of educators; subsidized master’s degree.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree by May 31, 2026, be fluent in English, have permanent work authorization in the United States, and meet subject-specific requirements where applicable.
