Call for Applications – In-Depth Online Biodiversity Journalism Training for Young Journalists in West Africa

The Centre for Climate Change and Food Security (CCCFS), via its NGO journalism initiative GJESHA and in collaboration with The North Journals, invites applications for an in-depth online biodiversity journalism training programme aimed at young and early-career journalists in West Africa. The programme provides expert-led virtual sessions, mentorship, publication support, and networking opportunities to strengthen biodiversity reporting and storytelling.

Mentorship and editorial guidance, expert-led virtual training sessions on biodiversity reporting, publication support to feature stories with local or regional media, and networking opportunities with regional professionals.

Applicants must be a citizen or resident of Ghana, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, or Liberia, and be a young or early-career journalist (approximately 18–35 years old) with interest or experience in storytelling or media production, and able to commit to the full online training duration.
