Future Africa Research Leadership Fellowship (FAR-LeaF II)

The FAR-LeaF II fellowship is a two-year, research-oriented programme run by Future Africa at the University of Pretoria. It aims to nurture early-career African scientists and academics through transformative research methodologies, leadership training, and opportunities for collaboration across academia, industry, and civil society. The fellowship focuses on sustainability challenges and includes funding, training, and access to interdisciplinary resources.

Two-year funding, leadership training, collaborative opportunities across academia, industry, and civil society, training in digital research methodologies.

PhD awarded in the last 10 years; employed at a research-active African higher education or research institution; age under 45 for men or under 50 for women; requires a research proposal, two academic reference letters, and institutional commitment for joint proposal development.
