YLP MEXT Scholarship at GRIPS 2026

The YLP MEXT Scholarship at GRIPS 2026 is a fully funded master’s scholarship for international students to pursue a Master of Public Policy or Master of Public Administration at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Japan. It covers tuition, living costs, and travel, with the aim of creating future leaders in public policy. The program is targeted at non-Japanese applicants from eligible countries worldwide and requires a competitive selection process.

Tuition full coverage, monthly stipend, admission and other fees, economy-class air tickets to and from home country, field trip costs.

Open to international students from all nationalities who hold a bachelor’s degree and meet age and professional experience requirements; applicants must be non-Japanese and aim to pursue a master’s degree at GRIPS under the MEXT scholarship.

Applications are submitted via the Japanese Embassy in the applicant’s country; an application form provided by the embassy must be completed and submitted with required documents.
