Computer Security Architect

The Computer Security Architect is a paid, time-limited position within CERN's Computer Security Office focused on maintaining and extending the Security Operations Centre and securing external cloud services (AWS, Oracle, GCP, Azure and related SaaS). The role involves configuration and review of cloud and SaaS security, contributing to computer security projects, and providing advice including penetration testing. The position includes on-the-job training, language classes and the possibility to extend the contract up to 36 months.

Monthly net stipend (5266-5793 CHF depending on degree), 30 days paid leave plus 2 weeks closure, health insurance (self, spouse, children), CERN Pension Fund membership, family/child allowances, relocation package (installation grant and travel expenses), on-the-job and formal training including language classes.

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (with some country exclusions listed). By the application deadline they must have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation, hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (cannot hold a PhD), and must never have had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
