Brazil–Norway Joint R&D Call (June 2026)

The Brazil–Norway Joint R&D Call (June 2026) is a bilateral funding call for collaborative research and development projects addressing petroleum (offshore industry), environmentally friendly energy, and green shipping. Projects must develop an innovative product, process or service with commercialisation potential and have a civilian purpose. Consortia must include eligible research institutions and companies from both Brazil and Norway and projects should run between 2 and 4 years.

Grant funding for eligible research institution costs (up to 100% of eligible costs for research organisations); project duration support for 2–4 years; funding decisions labelled by Eureka and implemented by FINEP and RCN according to national rules.

Applications accepted from research institutions; consortia must include at least one eligible Brazilian research institution, one Brazilian company, at least one eligible Norwegian research institution and at least one Norwegian company. Projects must represent international cooperation between Brazil and Norway, have a civilian purpose, and no single organisation or country can be responsible for more than 70% of the project budget. Only research institutions can receive funding from the joint call.
