USACO (USA Computing Olympiad)

USACO is a free, worldwide algorithmic programming contest series for students that serves as the qualification route to the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). Competitions run in multi-day windows where contestants solve algorithmic problems and are placed into divisions (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum). Top scorers are invited to an intensive training camp and finalists may be selected to represent the USA at IOI and other international informatics competitions.

Free participation; division rankings and promotion; eligibility for invitation to an intensive USACO training camp; pathway to selection for the USA IOI team and EGOI team.

Open worldwide to anyone with a free usaco.org account; designed for student competitors progressing from Bronze to Platinum divisions.
