The PhD Fellowship in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry is a three-year, fully funded doctoral position at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology. The project focuses on developing pretargeted radiopharmaceutical strategies for imaging and therapy of glioblastoma, targeting the urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR). The fellow will design, synthesise and evaluate tetrazine-based radioligands and work with advanced medical isotopes including Fluorine-18, Iodine-131 and Astatine-211 within an international research environment.

Applicants should hold a master’s degree equivalent to a Danish master’s degree in medicinal chemistry, radiopharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or a related discipline and have relevant laboratory or research experience. Selection will consider academic performance, research experience, publications, professional qualifications, language skills and interdisciplinary teamwork ability.
