Henriette Herz-Scouting-Programm

The Henriette Herz-Scouting-Programm recruits established and rising researchers in Germany to act as scouts who identify and nominate excellent international early-career researchers for Humboldt Research Fellowships. Selected scouts may propose up to three international candidates who, after formal review, can receive a Humboldt Research Fellowship via a direct-award procedure. The programme operates two lines for up-and-coming researchers (up to 15 years after doctorate) and for established researchers and emphasises widening and diversifying the Humboldt network.

Selected scouts may nominate up to three international researchers who, after formal review, will receive a Humboldt Research Fellowship via a direct-award procedure; participation expands the scout's network and capacity to recruit international talent.

Applicants must hold a (Junior-)professorship or comparable leadership position (e.g. group leader) in Germany; two program lines exist for early-career researchers (up to 15 years after doctorate) and for established researchers. Applicants should be internationally networked and have experience supervising junior researchers.
