Research to improve societal security and emergency preparedness

A call for research projects that address Norway's ability to prevent and manage crises and incidents that threaten fundamental values, functions and infrastructure, and endanger life and health. Projects should strengthen collaboration between Norwegian research groups and relevant societal and business actors, promote interdisciplinary perspectives, and produce knowledge and solutions for societal security and emergency preparedness. Thematic scope includes risk assessment and management, situational awareness, security of energy supply, food security, climate resilience, polar region management, citizen resilience, and prevention of organised crime. Projects must address societal security and emergency preparedness in and for Norway, Norwegian sea areas and/or the polar regions.

Research funding for collaborative projects to develop knowledge and build research expertise in societal security and emergency preparedness.

Applications are expected to be collaborations between Norwegian research groups and relevant societal and business actors; projects must address societal security and emergency preparedness in and for Norway, Norwegian sea areas and/or the polar regions.
