AURORA Mobility Programme – Cooperation with France

The AURORA Mobility Programme (Cooperation with France) provides funding to establish and expand contact between Norwegian research organisations and counterpart organisations in France. It supports short stays in France for researchers from Norway to start up and develop joint new research projects and to strengthen collaboration under Horizon Europe. Projects can include 2–4 people and must involve participation by young researchers such as PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows. Funding is provided from both Norway and France and applications must be submitted in both countries.

Reimbursement for travel costs and actual hotel accommodation costs and subsistence allowance (per state rates abroad) up to NOK 20,000 per person per calendar year; maximum NOK 100,000 per application.

Only approved Norwegian research organisations may apply. The project manager must have an approved doctoral degree or equivalent associate professor qualifications before the application deadline. Young researchers (including PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows) must participate in the travel activities.

The Project Owner (approved Norwegian research organisation) submits an application via the Research Council of Norway application portal; the French partner must also submit an application to the French AURORA administration (Campus France). Applications and attachments must be in Norwegian and/or English and submitted before the deadline.
