Support for Events

Support for Events is a grant scheme that provides funding to organise conferences, workshops and seminars that are open to everyone. The event may be physical or digital but must be held in Norway and the main organiser must apply. The grant supports dissemination of research, knowledge sharing and establishment of scientific collaboration and can cover necessary documented event costs.

Grant funding of NOK 50,000–150,000 to cover necessary documented event costs.

Approved research organisations, companies, the public sector, the voluntary sector and associations are eligible to apply. Sole proprietorships are not eligible to apply. Only the main organiser of the event can apply; for international conferences the Norwegian applicant must be the main organiser.

The main organiser submits one application (per event) via the Research Council application portal; the application must include a preliminary programme and be directed to one topic. Applications must be submitted at least six weeks before the event and project period must end no later than one month after the event.
