Canada Book Fund

The Canada Book Fund (CBF) is a Government of Canada funding program that supports the production, marketing and promotion of Canadian-authored books and strengthens the infrastructure and capacity of the Canadian book industry. The CBF has two main components: Support for Organizations and Support for Publishers, with the latter including Business Development and Publishing Support sub-components. Support activities include professional development, internships, technology projects, business planning, and assistance for production, marketing and distribution. The program aims to ensure access to a diverse range of Canadian-authored books nationally and internationally.

The fund has streams for organizations and for publishers; the Business Development sub-component provides financial assistance to publishers for internships and business planning, and the Publishing Support sub-component provides financial assistance to publishers for production, marketing and distribution of Canadian-authored books.
