International AIDS Society (IAS) HIV Vaccine Science Academy 2025

The IAS HIV Vaccine Science Academy 2025 is a three-day, in-person training program designed to support early- and mid-career HIV vaccine researchers in Africa with training, networking and mentorship. The academy brings together leading researchers, including vaccine researchers, social scientists and ethicists, to provide state-of-the-art training and opportunities to build collaborations and sustainable networks across research institutions in Africa.

Training on HIV vaccine research and development, opportunities to engage with leaders in the field, and networking/mentorship to build collaborations and momentum for African-led research.

Applicants should be proficient in English, be nationals and residents of Western, Central, Eastern or Southern Africa, be affiliated with an institution in one of these regions, and be an early- to mid-career HIV vaccine researcher with a letter of support from their home organization.
