Vía de Admisión para Deportistas de Alto Rendimiento

The Vía de Admisión para Deportistas de Alto Rendimiento is a competitive admission pathway at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile for applicants with exceptional sporting merits. It grants academic accommodations (lower cutoff score for admission, priority in course enrollment, validation of sports courses) and access to economic support and sport-specific services. The pathway accepts applicants who graduated or will graduate from secondary education in Chile or abroad and also contemplates applicants with prior university studies. Admissions are processed once per year for entry in the first semester.

Academic benefits: lower admission cutoff, priority in course enrollment, validation of sports courses with top grade, academic support and diagnostic leveling. Economic benefits: Beca Elite (40–65% tuition reimbursement), partial tuition discounts, food and transport scholarships by quintile. Sporting support: kinesiology, sports rehabilitation reimbursement, nutrition and physical preparation, certificates and justifications for competitions.

Applicants must have graduated from secondary education in Chile or abroad, be graduating the same year they sit the PAES, or have prior university studies. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional sporting quality in disciplines official at UC or present in Olympic/Panamerican/South American cycles and be in adequate health for competitive sport; additional academic requirements apply for applicants with prior university study.

Prepare required documents (ID, sport CV, sport certificates, medical certificate, education certificates) and register through the online registration form provided by UC.
