Carleton University Prestige Scholarships

The Carleton University Prestige Scholarships are a group of entrance scholarships awarded to students beginning their first undergraduate studies at Carleton. The programme comprises several named awards (Chancellor's Scholarship, Richard Lewar Entrance Scholarship, Carleton University Scholarship of Excellence, Carleton University SHAD Scholarship, Jay Woo and CAA Scholarship, and Riordon Scholarship). Awards are renewable and target students entering directly from high school or CEGEP with high academic achievement and demonstrated leadership. A single application form is used for all Prestige Scholarships and winners are selected by a university committee based on admission average and extra-curricular activities.

Monetary scholarships between CA$20,000 and CA$32,000 over four years; one award covers full tuition (capped at domestic full tuition); awards are renewable subject to GPA.

Applicants must be entering Carleton directly from high school or CEGEP, pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time, have an admission average of 90% or better, and have demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activities. Students who have previously attended a post-secondary institution (excluding CEGEP) are not eligible.
